    Temporarily apart: Research team succeeds in ultra-fast switching of tiny light sources

    An international team led by the Cluster of Excellence ct.qmat has now made remarkable progress with an experiment conducted at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR): The experts were able to induce an extremely fast switching process between electrically neutral and charged luminescent particles in an ultra-thin, effectively two-dimensional material. Published in Nature Photonics.

Organized by ct.qmat and supported by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), the workshop delved into areas such as topology, photonics, magnetism, and the dynamics of electron correlation in solids.
