Panel discussion
Our panel discussion brings together four women working in physics to share their career experiences, challenges, and accomplishments. The conversation will explore their contributions to both theoretical and experimental physics, as well as the role of gender in the field:

- Johanna Erdmenger — theoretical physicist and chair of theoretical physics III at JMU as well as the initiator and spokesperson for the Grete-Hermann Network
- Adriana Pálffy-Buß — professor of theoretical quantum information and quantum optics
- Merit Spring — experimental physicist and PhD student in experimental physics IV
- Romana Ganser — master’s student in experimental physics VII
Gallery walk and reception
Guests are invited to enjoy a gallery walk through the exhibition, accompanied by a welcoming reception. Sparkling wine will be served in front of the Toscana Hall to start the evening. The exhibition is spread throughout the gallery of the Martin von Wagner Museum and can be explored at your own pace along a designated route. Light refreshments will be available on the tables and in the final room of the exhibition, providing a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for viewing the displays.

To mark the United Nations International Year of Quantum Science and Technology 2025, the Cluster of Excellence ct.qmat is hosting the traveling exhibition RETHINKING PHYSICS. Featuring striking portraits, the exhibition highlights both established and emerging female scientists as they share their passion for research, their achievements, and their aspirations. It’s where curiosity meets the revolutionary power of quantum physics.
